INTRO: this project is called THE SHADOW BOX. the motive of this project is to create something that is tangible and interactive as well as telling a story or idea that is relatable to myself.
HERE IS A CLOSE UP OF WHAT THE INSIDE OF MY SHADOW BOX LOOKS LIKE

MATERIALS:

Poster board, Disco Balls, Glue gun, Glue sticks, Wooden frame sticks, LED Lights, and a whole lotta love

CREATIVE PROCESS
the creative process came to me through inspiration from an artist i saw last year, who was the maker of the infinity room. the room was full all glass walls, and pumpkin globes inside lit up like light bulbs. it looked like ou
ter space. i decided to make an infinity box of my own in a way that i could relate to it. vidual glass pieces onto each side. once put together using the materials seen below, the outcome was marvellous.
PRODUCT METHOD AND WORK FLOW:

The glue gun and glue sticks were used to glue the frame and walls of the Shadow Box together to compose a 3D interactive shape.

The glass pieces on the Disco balls were picked off and re-glued on the internal walls of the Shadow box. this was so the reflection would bounce off each other infinitely to give the illusion of space inside the box.

The lights were bought from the dollar store and glued onto the walls of the shadow box.
FINAL:

I decided to use small glass pieces instead of big ones to show almost a pixel effect or distortion in the reflections. i cut out 6 sides of the poster board for the box and glued on the individual glass pieces onto each side with the help of the wooden frames. once put together using the materials seen above, the outcome was marvellous.
CONCLUSION:

in conclusion, it was a great experience putting this together, and seeing it fall into place. i learned a new skill, crafting. i will be using more of this in my future work.
